About Word-X Studio
Founded in April 2014, Word-X Studio initially focused on assisting students with applications to graduate schools in Japan.
By May 2019, we observed that students often needed specific templates to complete their paperwork, such as Japanese-style résumés or application emails. To help them save time spent on administrative tasks, we began providing a variety of templates and samples. This marked the beginning of our digital product design business.
Encouraged by the success of our digital products, we decided to expand into mobile application development. This decision was driven by the similarities between digital template design and mobile app development, as well as the fact that mobile applications could better meet our customers’ needs.
Today, we are fully engaged in the design of digital products—such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel templates, as well as various digital planners for iPads—alongside the development of mobile applications.
Why the name “Word-X”?
In our early days, we offered Japanese essay revision services, which relates to the word “Word.” The “X” represents our ability to provide a wide range of services, all centered on the needs of our customers.
